You will deliver EHCP hours in accordance with SEND guidance and attend annual reviews as required.

Your duties will involve carrying out assessments to evaluate the child's occupational performance, utilising both standardised and non-standardised assessments, observations, interviews with parents or carers, and questionnaires from parents and teachers.

You will develop, plan, and implement specialist Occupational Therapy treatment programmes and strategies to enhance the child's ability to perform everyday activities and participate in various environments. This may include providing verbal and written advice, creating advice sheets, and delivering individual treatment.

Assessing a child's need for specialist equipment and small aids (e.g., specialist seating, bath aids, and toilet aids) is also part of your role. You will advise, recommend, or provide appropriate equipment for use at home, pre-school, and school, in line with service criteria. Additionally, you will review and adjust specialist equipment to ensure it meets the child's functional needs and demonstrate its use to families and professionals working with the child.

We seek an enthusiastic, creative, and passionate Occupational Therapist with strong clinical skills in working with children and young people to help them reach their potential and thrive in everyday occupations. The role will be based in one of our local Special Schools, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to complete the OT process with children who have additional needs.

You will be part of a friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking team dedicated to providing a high-quality Occupational Therapy Service to children up to 18 years old who have functional difficulties in self-care, play, and/or school occupations. Your work will involve providing specialist Occupational Therapy assessment, advice, or intervention for children with a range of needs and conditions, collaborating with families and professionals.

We are committed to supporting your development, offering access to supervision and opportunities to expand your clinical skills within a nurturing and dynamic service.
