Full or part time roles available, flexible working considered. We are looking for an experienced podiatrist to join our supportive and friendly team to provide high-risk / wound care to patients across the borough of Bromley. There will also be opportunities for MSK and nail surgery clinics.
The prospective candidate must therefore have wound care experience, be motivated, flexible, and able to work as part of a team. The successful candidate will have a community-focused clinical caseload with a responsibility to provide foot healthcare and advice to patients with at risk feet. As a community foot protection team, we coordinate with King's College and Princess Royal Hospital diabetic foot services for shared care of patients.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for HCPC Registered Podiatrists with post graduate experience with a high degree of motivation and clinical skills. You will need a flexible approach to service provision with the ability to work as part of a team as well as individually. The successful candidate will be required to have excellent diagnostic and clinical skills to deliver a range of podiatry treatments including wound care, at risk and biomechanical interventions for patients in Bromley.
Although based in a clinical setting, the role is across the Bromley Healthcare area with a clinical and visiting caseload. Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. The post holder will be up to date with current best practice and demonstrate Bromley Healthcare values in their day to day role working as part of a team.
We value healthcare promotion through patient empowerment and education, therefore we require podiatrists who have excellent communication and assessment skills. We encourage team members to take part in various CPD activities including clinical supervision, in-house training during department meetings in addition to external training sessions and access to an enhanced training budget. Registration with the Health Professions Council is essential.

You will be a communicative team player, with experience in wound care and management of the diabetic foot. You will have the opportunity to develop Musculoskeletal podiatry knowledge and put this into practice frequently. You will also be involved in minor surgery clinics.
You will be able to manage a caseload, and although predominantly clinical care will be needed, you will be able to organise visits to those who are unable to attend community clinics. You will know your scope of practice, when to ask for help, and how to escalate concerns to MDFT. You will be able to liaise with nursing staff to arrange visits, and form treatment plans for internal and external departments to follow. You will support the service and colleagues in clinic, and when seeing patients at home.
