Overview

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Dental Officer to join our Community Dental Service. This is a unique opportunity to provide high-quality dental care to children and adults with additional needs, including those with learning disabilities, complex medical conditions, and social vulnerabilities such as homelessness or being in care. Working across our clinics in Bexley, Greenwich and Bromley, you will play a key role in delivering routine and preventive care, supporting outreach services, and managing treatment under sedation or general anaesthetic where required. You will also work closely with dental nurses, therapists, consultants, and external partners to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care. As part of our team, you\\\’ll be supported in developing your clinical skills and contributing to service improvement through clinical governance, audit and peer review.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver routine and preventive dental care to children and adults with additional needs
  • Support outreach services and coordinate care with dental nurses, therapists, consultants and external partners
  • Manage treatment under sedation or general anaesthetic where required
  • Contribute to service improvement through clinical governance, audits and peer review

Qualifications

  • GDC-registered Dental Practitioner
  • NHS Performer Number
  • Experience or strong interest in Community Dental Service/Paediatric Dentistry/Special Care Dentistry
  • Valid driving licence and access to a car
  • Commitment to safeguarding, patient-centred care, and ongoing professional development
