Overview

Service Lead Public Health Nursing Greenwich 0 to 4 – Band 8a

£61,631 – £68,623 Inc HCAS per annum pro rata • 30 hrs per week. Bromley Healthcare provides public health nursing services in the London boroughs of Greenwich, Bexley and Bromley. This role is for the Service Lead in the London Borough of Greenwich. We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic SCPHN (School Nursing or Health Visiting) with significant experience working with children and families and experience leading and managing SCPHN teams.

The post holder will work closely with the Heads of Public Health Nursing and Service Leads across the tri-borough Public Health Nursing services to integrate and transform the 0 to 4 and 0 to 19 services. You will have responsibility for the operational leadership and management of the public health nursing service and contribute to the strategic vision and direction of the service in line with Bromley Healthcare’s priorities, South East London Integrated Care System, and national policy and directives.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operational management of the 0-4 Children’s Public Health service in Greenwich, ensuring a clinically effective and high-quality 0-4 service that uses research-based practice to plan, deliver and evaluate public health nursing interventions.
  • Collaborate with Bromley and Bexley Service Leads and Heads of Public Health Nursing on strategic development of the service, and develop strong partnerships with stakeholders, with emphasis on joint working with Children’s Services, Local Authority, Primary Care, Mental Health Services and Social Care.
  • Lead and inspire the service to meet targets and KPIs in the service specification while maintaining safe and effective clinical care; establish processes to address issues and take corrective action when needed.
  • Manage the service budget in line with forecast outturn.
  • Work with the Director of Children and Young People\’s Services, Head of Children\’s Nursing, General Manager for CYP services, Safer Care Team, and other senior staff as part of an effective management team.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Qualified SCPHN (School Nursing or Health Visiting).
  • Significant experience working with children and families and leading SCPHN teams.
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and partnership development skills.
