This is a bank role, shifts are available at all District Nursing bases: Biggin Hill, Orpington, Chislehurst & Beckenham.

Salary: £35,763 - £43,466 Inc HCAS per annum pro rata - depending on previous experience

Organisation Bromley Healthcare are a community interest company delivering community nursing and related services; teams include District Nurses, Community Nurses, Nurse Associates, Apprentice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Phlebotomy. Our work is focused on preventing unnecessary hospital admission and providing high-quality care.

The Bank Community Nurse role is a highly skilled position involving care in patients’ homes, with responsibilities such as Picc lines/IVs and other community nursing duties. Availability of shifts includes Monday to Sunday, with typical hours: 8.15am – 4.15pm and 10.45am – 6:45pm. All Community Nursing roles are designated essential car user positions; applicants should have a current driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Key responsibilities
  • Contribute to the holistic assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care.
  • Implement, monitor and maintain high standards of care.
  • Re-assess and re-evaluate programmes of care as needed.
  • Support in-house mentorship and training schemes with placement students and staff.
  • Be an active member of the team and share best practice.

This is a challenging but rewarding role, with support from teams and regular reflection & professional training.

Shifts and location Available at all District Nursing bases: Biggin Hill, Orpington, Chislehurst & Beckenham. Available shifts: Monday – Sunday; 8.15am – 4.15pm or 10.45am – 6:45pm.

Compensation is contingent upon NHS experience and current banding/pay point.
