Responsibilities:

  • Provide a 20% community podiatry clinical caseload and 80% GP practice work across the Penge primary care network.
  • Act as first‑contact practitioner – a mandatory qualification for this role.
  • Assess new patients holistically, signpost appropriately and deliver expert foot and ankle diagnosis.
  • Work within different GP surgeries, providing direct podiatry intervention when required.
  • Collaborate and liaise with GP surgery staff and multidisciplinary teams (MDT) including Vita Health, KCH orthopaedics, children’s physiotherapy services, and other local services.
  • Provide best‑practice care and achieve outstanding outcomes for patients.
  • Educate patients and other clinical staff, and present case discussions and research at team and MDT meetings.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, in‑house training during department meetings, and external training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • HCPC Registered Podiatrist with post‑graduate experience.
  • First‑contact practitioner qualification necessary.
  • Broad experience across varied fields of podiatry.
  • Excellent diagnostic, clinical, communication and assessment skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple GP surgeries and coordinate patient care.
