At Bromley Healthcare, we're dedicated to empowering our team members to drive change and innovation in community health. The post holder will be responsible for delivering Oral Health Promotion (OHP) programs across Bromley Healthcare (BHC), ensuring high standards in program execution and community impact. They will monitor these initiatives, providing regular reports and insights to guide improvements. Representing the BHC OHP Team at events, the post holder will actively promote Bromley Healthcare's core values, meet all targets and KPIs, drive efficiency, and manage resources effectively. Flexibility is key, as the role may occasionally require work outside of regular hours.
Main duties of the job
In collaboration with the Oral Health Promotion (OHP) Lead, the post holder will support the team's growth by ensuring members acquire and retain skills crucial for their career development. This role involves some manual lifting and travel between locations, making the use of a personal car with business insurance essential. Responsibilities include participating in OHP projects, assessing local needs, and developing community-focused oral health plans. The post holder will work closely with other agencies, health professionals, and local authority, providing training and advice to their staff on oral healthcare best practices. They will oversee and, when needed, directly deliver oral health promotion initiatives across BHC’s population groups. Additional duties involve conducting clinical audits, supporting professional development initiatives, and contributing to clinical governance. The role may also require carrying out routine dental nurse duties, including chairside support, infection control, equipment maintenance, and processing patient registration and charges. The post holder will also be required to work on projects within Bromley Healthcare dental team and address any other tasks requested by the Clinical Director or OHP Lead.

Person Specification
- Qualification in Dental Nursing Recognised by the General Dental Council
- Oral Health Promotion Certification
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- Additional post-certificate qualification in Dental Nursing Conscious Sedation, Dental radiography, OHP
Skills
- Up to date knowledge of oral health promotion
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to formulate, prioritise and adjust plans as required
- Previous experience in CDS/Hospital Setting
- Valid UK Driver's License & Access to a car for work purposes.
- Demonstrable experience of working on OHP projects
- Experience in BASCD
- Experience of working as an oral health promotor
- Work with a range of patients including adults and children.
- Experience of General Dental Practice, broad based Community Dental Practice or Emergency Dental Service
- Work in areas of social exclusion
- Work with clients requiring good patient management skills - particularly anxious children and adults or those with special needs
