Bromley Healthcare, a community interest company, delivers a diverse range of services encompassing community nursing and therapy services catering to individuals across all age groups. We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and competent Dental Nurse to join our Special Care Dental Service.
We are based across 5 sites in Bromley, Bexley and Greenwich. The successful candidate would ideally be based at 1 or 2 sites on a regular basis but may on occasions be asked to cover for colleagues at different sites. A valid driving licence and access to a car is essential for this position.
The successful applicants must have an appropriate qualification in Dental Nursing and be registered with the General Dental Council. Excellent communication skills, compassion, empathy, good organisational skills, IT skills and being a team player are integral to this post. Previous experience of working in Community Dental Services (CDS) is desirable but we would be happy to train someone with the right aptitude and skills.
Main duties of the job include:
- Providing high quality dental care for our special needs patients and children who are referred into our service.
- Carrying out domiciliary visits to meet the needs of the patients in their own settings.
- Participating in General Anaesthetic sessions when required.
Person specification includes:
- Professional Registration with the General Dental Council.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
- Good organisational skills and familiarity with computers.
- Knowledge of infection control.
- Experience of Dental Nursing with a range of patients including adults and children.
