Lymphoedema-Tissue Viability Nurse – Band 6
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Tissue Viability and Lymphoedema Service. The post-holder will develop knowledge and skills in both Tissue Viability and Lymphoedema as a hybrid role.
These small services work together as one and having skills that are interchangeable works perfectly, producing the best outcomes for patients.
The post holder will join a small team of motivated, innovative clinicians. They will work within the Tissue Viability and Lymphoedema team to provide a high quality, patient focused service for patients presenting with Lymphoedema/chronic oedema/leg ulceration and/or Tissue Viability issues.
This will involve active participation in complex patient assessment and management out in the community and in clinics.
The post holder will support the achievement of Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s) and use data to manage caseloads and monitor KPIs and clinical outcomes. The post holder will support with relevant clinical audit, teaching and will be actively involved in service development.

- Registered Nurse (Adult) Nursing Degree
- NMC SSSA Practice Assessor/Supervisor or equivalent
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- Current NMC registration
- Accredited Tissue Viability course
- Accredited course in Leg Ulcer Management
- Chronic oedema course
- PGDip District Nursing
- Nurse Prescriber
- Management/leadership training
Experience
- Recent and proven experience in tissue viability/lymphoedema care and management, including: wound care, leg ulceration, chronic oedema
- Experience of working in a community healthcare setting
- Proven experience of nurse led clinics
- Proven experience of teaching/supervision
- Experience of writing policies and procedures
- Experience of leadership in a lymphoedema/ tissue viability setting
- Experience of planning and participating in audit cycles
Skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
