The Children's Physiotherapy service in Bromley Healthcare is looking for enthusiastic and experienced staff to join our bank of Physiotherapy Assistants to support the work of the service. The Physiotherapy Assistant role supports the work of our team working with children who have MSK problems and require individual or group interventions.
Main duties of the job:
- Assist in the delivery of physiotherapy programmes to children and young people under the direction of a registered physiotherapist.
- Support MSK group sessions by demonstrating and supervising exercises.
- Encourage and motivate children to participate in therapeutic activities.
- Observe and report feedback on patient performance, progress, and any concerns to the supervising physiotherapist.
- Escalate concerns to qualified physiotherapists as appropriate.
- Support the implementation of treatment plans within group settings.
- Keep accurate records of provided interventions.
- Assist in planning and setting up MSK group sessions, including preparation of equipment and resources.
- Support the safe running of group exercise circuits and activities.
- Facilitate a positive, inclusive, and engaging group environment.
- Assist with adapting activities to meet individual needs under guidance.

Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent experience)
- Undertaking Physiotherapy qualification
Knowledge:
- Experience working with children or young people
- Experience working as part of a team
- Experience in a physiotherapy or rehabilitation setting
