Community Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) – Band 2/3

You’ll work across a 7-day rota (7.5 hrs/day), including weekends & bank holidays. Shifts: 8.15–4.15 or 10.45–6.45.

The Role
Join Bromley Healthcare’s District Nursing Teams in Bromley, Beckenham, Orpington, or Biggin Hill, delivering care in patients’ homes. You’ll provide person-centred support for people with long-term conditions, rehabilitation needs, or end-of-life care, plus delegated clinical tasks (e.g. observations, wound care, catheter support) depending on your competencies.

Band 2 Entry: For those new to care – full training provided.

Band 2 Development: For candidates with some experience, building skills via structured training.

Band 3 Competent: For experienced staff confident in a wide range of delegated tasks.

Deliver high-quality personal and clinical care to patients in the community

Support individuals with long term conditions, post-hospital care, and patients at end of life

Working autonomously but have access to the support and supervision of experienced community nurses.

Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing in our patient and carer communities

Qualifications

  • Level 2 functional skills in Maths & English or equivalent qualification
  • level 3 diploma / NVQ in health & social care or equivalent experience
  • Care Certificate

Experience

  • Experience working in a customer care setting
  • experience in providing hands on care in any setting: community, hospital, domiciliary or unpaid (e.g. Family care)

Skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to record information accurately with attention to detail
