Are you passionate about creating positive workplace cultures where people feel supported and empowered to do their best work? We are recruiting two experienced HR professionals to join Bromley Healthcare — one HR Adviser and one Employee Relations-focused Adviser. You will provide high-quality, pragmatic HR advice and ER support to managers and staff, helping to build an inclusive, effective and safe working environment. You’ll support managers to engage their teams and confidently manage absence, performance, wellbeing, disciplinary, grievance, and bullying and harassment cases. The ER-focused role will lead on complex casework and support formal processes and panels to ensure fair, timely and legally compliant outcomes. Both roles will contribute to employee relations activity across the organisation.

Main duties of the job include:

  • Formal note-taking at hearings
  • Preparing and issuing hearing packs
  • General HR administration

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in human resources, business studies or related discipline, or equivalent level of experience

Training / Knowledge:

  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
  • In-depth knowledge of HR practice and legislation across the employee lifecycle

Specific Skills:

  • Good interpersonal skills, including communication and relationship management
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor communications to the audience
  • Good training and coaching skills
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Ability to identify people issues and risks and provide effective advice to mitigate these

Experience:

  • Significant HR operational experience at an HR advisory level
  • Experience in supporting Chairs to make decisions and give outcomes during formal hearings
  • Experience of providing HR advice on complex and sensitive issues to managers
  • Experience of supporting organisational change processes
  • Experience in handling grievance and disciplinary, performance management, bullying & harassment and sickness absence issues
  • Experience in implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Experience of working with staff side / Trade Union representatives in a unionised environment
  • Experience of using data and trend analysis to inform advice
  • Experience of coaching and training front line managers on HR issues
  • Knowledge and experience of working with medical and dental staffing

Information Technology:

  • Ability to use MS Office and proficient in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience of using ESR
