The post holder will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of digital and technology (IT) change & transformation projects for Bromley Healthcare including AI Tools, IT Infrastructure Modernisation, Cyber Security Enhancements, IT & Enterprise Service Management expansion, AV upgrades, Microsoft365 service deployment, end user computing hardware refresh, and new digital apps and services sourcing and implementation.

Main duties of the job:

  • Take ownership of all aspects of IT and Digital projects, programme and portfolio management including monitoring of budgets, reporting and business case development.
  • Lead on change management and stakeholder engagement for the portfolio.
  • Manage the relevant digital and technology roadmaps and associated benefits realisation plan.
  • Maintain, develop and champion specialist knowledge on project management and business analysis techniques and processes.
  • Be responsible for parallel project management of a number of complex Digital projects.
  • Enable BHC to identify and exploit new technologies and processes.

To take responsibility for the definition, documentation, and successful completion of all BHC IT and Digital projects, directing and counselling project team members, and advising users as necessary on all phases providing hands-on delivery when required. Determine business requirements and translating requirements into project and operational plans and deliverables. Ensure that realistic project, quality, and risk plans are prepared and maintained for projects and sub-projects.

Accountable for planning, structuring, leading and executing projects. Responsible for managing the project teams. Monitoring, updating and reporting against the schedule to BHC governance. Determine, monitor, and review all portfolio decisions, including costs, budgets, resourcing requirements, risks and ensure that there are appropriate and effective governance arrangements, supported by comprehensive reporting.

Provide effective change leadership to the CTO/Digital function, taking appropriate action where performance deviates from agreed tolerances. This will include resource planning of specialist or expert resources across projects. Advise and lead on the procurement of IT systems and supply contract negotiations as appropriate.

Lead on change management, including workshops with key stakeholders, effective communications and engagement and ensuring staff are brought along the change journey. Integrating new capabilities into the organisation in a way that is sensitive to and fully compatible with business operations.

Identify opportunities for improvement to process and documentation, ensuring the change and demand function is always performing at its best and that Lessons Learned are captured and communicated. To manage relevant project, programme and portfolio budgets of up to £3m.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to or with experience equivalent to a degree level qualification.
  • Prince2/PMI/APM or equivalent professional qualification and/or Agile/Scrum qualification.
  • Knowledge & experience in use of Microsoft365 and CoPilot.
  • Knowledge & experience in use of AI Tools.
  • Knowledge & experience in use of IT infrastructure, Cyber Security, End user computing & Common IT applications.
