We are seeking a passionate and flexible Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist who works well within a team to provide high quality, patient‑centred care across the borough of Bromley. You will work within a highly skilled, specialist MDT involving Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Neuropsychiatrist, Social Care Manager and Rehabilitation Assistants. The successful candidate will have excellent opportunities to develop their clinical skills, leadership skills and deliver service change.
Main duties of the job:
- Delivering high‑quality clinical care in the community in line with the national drive in preventative care.
- Partaking in a full quality improvement project with support from the organisation’s QI lead and senior therapists.
- Supporting in‑house, SLT led FEEs service.
- Assisting in reshaping our service provision to local care home residents.
- Supervising SLT students and assistants.
We are a supportive and friendly team who work across the community of Bromley providing a service to patients in their own homes, care homes and in outpatient clinics. We pride ourselves in providing our patients with high standards of care and regularly receive positive patient feedback.
Person specification:
- Recognised speech & language therapy degree qualification or equivalent.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
- Substantial clinical experience with adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties.
- Good interpersonal skills/team work.
- Health and Care Professions Council Licence to practice.
