An exciting opportunity has arisen across our Bromley Children's Dietetic team for a bank Band 6 Children’s Community Dietitian. The role is predominantly to manage a complex clinical caseload within the Children’s Dietetic Service, primarily in a clinic setting, including patients with allergies, faltering growth, and obesity.

Main duties of the job:

  • Manage a complex clinical caseload within the Children’s Dietetic Service.
  • Work closely with other health professionals and agencies in assessing, treating, and protecting children.
  • Contribute to service development, evidence-based policy, guidelines, and procedure development.
  • Undertake research and audit projects.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Post-graduate training or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Member of BDA or other professional specialist interest group.
  • HCPC Registration as a Dietitian.

Specific skills:

  • Highly specialist level of knowledge of current clinical practice.
  • Clinically competent to give specialist advice and dietary counselling.
  • IT competent, including use of electronic patient records.

Experience:

  • Experience of carrying out clinical audits.
  • Experience of working in a community setting.
  • Experience of home enteral feeding.
