Responsibilities
- Deliver integrated primary care mental health support as part of the Social Work Pilot, working with the Mental Health Hub and multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Conduct comprehensive Sec9 assessments in the service user’s home and determine if a Sec42 enquiry is required.
- Evaluate needs, risks and circumstances of new to mental health service users quickly.
- Support improved Care Act compliance, quality and assurance within the primary care mental health offer.
- Collaborate with colleagues from Mind and NHS psychology at Rachel Notley House in Beckenham.
- Act as an intrinsic part of the pilot’s development and successful delivery, with a view to becoming business as usual.
Qualifications
- Qualified social worker with secondary mental health and adult safeguarding experience.
- Experience as an Enquiry Officer or similar role is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Care Act Sections9 and42.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a satellite team.
- Excellent assessment, decision‑making and communication skills.
