What the Job Involves

This role involves conducting detailed food hygiene and food standards inspections, combining them where applicable for efficiency. You’ll work according to established guidelines and refer to the Brand Standard when calculating food hygiene ratings. The job requires you to spot, document, and report any health and safety hazards using the CAPS Uniform system, discussing potential emergency actions with the Health & Safety team if necessary. Compensation is based on the number of inspections completed, plus additional payments for entering and scanning inspection data. Regular documentation on CAPS Uniform is crucial, and revisits on non-compliant premises will be conducted by permanent officers. You will report your findings and any required formal actions to the manager, with your performance monitored by the food team manager.
