Who You Are
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Development Management Team Leader to cover the remainder of a period of maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of an Area Team, managing up to 9 planning officers with the support of a Deputy Team Leader.
What the Job Involves
This role involves managing a Development Management team, preparing and reviewing reports, and making recommendations on planning applications. You will make decisions under delegated authority, present at Planning Committee meetings, and represent the Chief Planner or Council at events and inquiries. Additional responsibilities include guiding your team on policy actions, negotiating development improvements, enforcing planning legislation, and ensuring high development standards.
