You are a highly experienced qualified social work practitioner with an exceptional standard of front-line statutory social work experience. You work effectively with colleagues and enjoy collaborative working within a multi-agency context. You have experience in assessing risk and possess the knowledge and skills essential for children and families social work.

What the Job Involves

The role involves discharging the authority's responsibilities under the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation. You will assess and provide services to children and families in need, manage complex caseloads, supervise staff, and ensure high standards of professional practice. This includes formulating and updating child protection plans, providing reports, managing care plans for looked after children, and acting as a duty social worker. You will also contribute to the development of practice, promote equality and anti-discriminatory practices, and participate in training and team development.
