The Activities Coordinator will develop a programme of social, creative and physical activities delivered at the Centre, in our 3-acre park and in venues across the northeast of the borough to encourage and support people to live active and fulfilling lives. The programme will include both broad access, open sessions as well as more focused activities for specific groups within our community including older adults and people with disabilities.

The Activities Coordinator will engage members of the community to identify, design and develop activities based on local needs and preferences.

The key strands of the role are:

  • Activity and timetable coordination: Develop and coordinate a timetable of activities. Support with the recruitment, onboarding and supervision of activity facilitators and volunteers.
  • Participant engagement and facilitation: Build relationships with people accessing activities, provide opportunities for connection, raise awareness of services and support available locally and, provide space and opportunities for people to develop new ideas and co-produce activities.
  • Service development: Work with the Centres delivery teams and local partners to inform and shape the design and delivery of activities.
