About the role: We are recruiting an Advocate Educator to work closely with GP practices in Croydon borough. IRIS is a domestic abuse training, support and referral programme developed specifically for general practice. You will promote the IRIS programme and offer DVA training to GP practice staff, as well as providing one-to-one emotional and practical support to a caseload of clients experiencing domestic abuse.
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience of working with victims and survivors of domestic abuse and an understanding of the barriers to accessing support services
- Experience of promoting services and building strong working relationships with external organisations
- Experience of delivering training to a range of professionals
- Ideally a full driving licence and access to a vehicle in order to travel to GP practices across Croydon
