We are looking for an experienced Repairs Manager to join our Asset Management & Development team at bdht. This is an exciting opportunity for a people-focused operational leader to take ownership of a vital service that directly impacts customers and communities. You'll lead the delivery of voids and responsive repairs, ensuring homes are repaired, maintained and ready for occupation as quickly and efficiently as possible, helping customers move into safe, high-quality homes without unnecessary delay.
As a key member of the management team, you'll have the opportunity to influence service delivery, develop high-performing teams and drive continuous improvement across a busy and customer-focused operation. We're looking for someone who brings strong leadership capability, commercial awareness and a passion for delivering excellent customer outcomes.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Repairs you will ensure the effective delivery of repairs and voids services while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for driving operational performance, achieving key service targets, improving productivity and ensuring value for money across the service.
You'll work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to deliver strategic objectives, monitor performance, manage budgets and contractor relationships, and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety, regulatory and service requirements. This is a highly visible leadership role where your ability to motivate, influence and inspire others will be just as important as your operational expertise.
About You
We're looking for a proven manager with experience leading repairs, maintenance, voids or construction-related services. You'll be an engaging and supportive leader who can build strong relationships, coach and develop teams and confidently manage a fast-paced operational environment.
You'll have a recognised trade background, experience managing multi-skilled and multi-disciplinary teams, and a strong understanding of customer-focused service delivery. You'll be commercially aware, highly organised and comfortable working with performance measures, budgets and service improvement initiatives.
Ideally, you will hold a Level 4 CIH qualification in Housing - Repairs and Maintenance or be willing to work towards this qualification within 12 – 24 months of commencement in role. A recognised Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH would be advantageous. Most importantly, you'll share our commitment to delivering excellent customer service, supporting colleagues and creating positive outcomes for our communities.
