A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.Every day you'll help people with learning disabilities maintain their independence, thrive in their homes and feel part of their communities.Drawing on your housing knowledge and people skills, you'll help customers with learning disabilities manage their homes, navigate challenges, and achieve positive outcomes.As a housing enabler, you will work closely with customers with learning disabilities helping them understand their tenancy responsibilities, arrange repairs and maintenance, and make informed decisions about their homes. You’ll also build strong partnerships with care providers supporting customers across our services in Bicester, Banbury, Southam and Birmingham.You’ll oversee a small portfolio of supported housing schemes, ensuring customers live in safe, well managed homes. Working alongside care providers, local authorities and community partners, you’ll help customers sustain their tenancies, build independence and achieve positive outcomes.
You Will Be Someone Who Has
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and an awareness of difficulties our customers may face
- Housing management knowledge including, managing tenancy changes, sign ups, anti-social behaviour and safeguarding.
- Experience of working with lots of organisations and professionals including commissioners, care providers and social work teams
- Confidence handling difficult conversations
- Resilience and a solutions-focused approach
- Ability to manage a varied workload independently
