- Overview
You will work within our dedicated electrical facilities team and report to the Facilities Services Delivery Manager, managing and assessing key systems across communal living and office environments in the specified locations.
Your focus includes emergency lighting, fire detection equipment, water hygiene checks (including legionella control), asbestos monitoring, PAT testing, specialist toilet unit maintenance, and overseeing contractor activity on site.

- What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across properties
- Testing and servicing fire safety, water, and electrical systems (including PAT)
- Repairing and maintaining fire doors and specialist equipment
- Completing inspections, including asbestos re‑checks Ensuring all work meets safety and compliance standards
- Recording jobs and certifications using internal systems
- Supporting and supervising contractors on‑site
- Following health & safety procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
- Delivering excellent customer service and clear communication
- Identifying safeguarding concerns and reporting risks
- Working collaboratively and sharing best practice to improve services
What We're Looking For (Experience & Skills)
- Hands‑on experience in facilities maintenance or compliance‑related services
- Understanding of electrical, water, fire, and asbestos safety requirements
- Customer‑focused approach with a strong commitment to safety
- Organised, tech‑savvy, and confident in using digital systems
- Mechanical or electrical knowledge (or both)
Qualifications
- PAT Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2377)
- Legionella Maintenance/Management certificate
- BS 5389‑1 Fire System Maintenance qualification
- Basic Electrical Maintenance training
- Asbestos Duty to Manage (DTM01)
- Facilities maintenance qualification
- Portable fire extinguisher servicing qualification
- Geberit and Clos‑o‑Mat service training
- Other Requirements
- A Basic DBS check is required (arranged by BFL)
- Full UK driving licence
- Original copies of qualifications may be required
