We are looking for an experienced construction contracts manager to drive the delivery of high-quality new-build residential developments across our Midlands region.
In this role, you\’ll lead a skilled team of site managers, ensuring the highest standards in health and safety, managing strict construction schedules, and delivering exceptional homes to delighted customers on time and within budget. With responsibility for multiple sites, you\’ll provide vital support to site managers while maintaining seamless communication across departments to ensure smooth project execution.
Your leadership will be key to achieving excellence across health and safety, quality, customer care, and cost management. You will instil a strong health and safety culture, ensuring all sites adhere to policies and best practices. Effective resource management and a proactive approach to problem-solving will keep projects on track, while careful budget oversight will ensure value for money. Above all, your attention to detail will guarantee homes of the highest standard, with minimal snagging.
Collaboration is key in this role. You\’ll work closely with the commercial team to assist in contractor selection and monitor their performance to ensure exceptional outcomes. By mentoring and guiding site management teams, you will play a pivotal role in their professional growth and in upholding operational excellence.
This role is permanent and full time. You will cover sites across the Midlands and the role will require regular travel.
This role could offer the successful candidate growth into the senior leadership team in the near future so extensive managerial experience in UK residential development is key.
You will also have:
- Proficiency in JCT contracts and CDM Regulations 2015
- Strong leadership and project delivery skills
- Relevant qualifications: NVQ Level 6 (or equivalent), CSCS Black Card, SMSTS, First Aid
- Additional certifications (preferred): LOLER, Fire Safety, Scaffold/WAH
- Expertise in masonry, timber frame, and modular construction
- Knowledge of Part L practices, engineering, drainage, road construction, and current building regulations
- CIOB membership is preferred
A basic DBS and consumer check will be required, as well as a full UK driving licence and the ability to drive.
The closing date is 22nd August 2025, with first stage interviews to take place 27th – 29th August 2025.
