Are you commercially minded, analytical and confident interpreting technical information? Whether you’re an experienced estimator, a quantity surveyor wanting earlier‐stage influence, a groundworks/civil engineer ready for a commercial move, a buyer with strong cost insight, or you bring transferable skills from the military — this could be a great next step.
At Bromford, part of Bromford Flagship, you’ll play a key role in shaping our future developments by producing accurate, well‐considered cost plans and supporting land bid decisions. If you want impact, stability and long‐term development, you’ll thrive here.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and update cost plans from land‐bid stage onwards
- Assess site constraints (levels, drainage, access, services)
- Complete take‐offs for groundworks, externals and infrastructure
- Build plot schedules and maintain a cost database
- Source quotes and prepare tender information
- Work collaboratively with Land, Technical, Commercial and Pre‐Construction colleagues
You’ll also get hands‐on with real sites. You’ll visit greenfield and brownfield land opportunities — and occasionally live sites — to understand constraints first‐hand. Working closely with Land, Technical and Planning colleagues, you’ll assess the maximum cost price of schemes based on early sketches, ensure land opportunities are properly costed, and support value‐engineering to achieve best value at concept stage.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in one of the following: estimating, quantity surveying, groundworks/civil engineering, procurement/buying, or transferable technical skills (e.g. ex‐military).
- Plus: strong analytical ability, attention to detail, comfortable with basic drawings and data, a full UK driving licence and the ability to travel. A basic DBS check is required.
