Opportunity Summary

We have a vacancy for a Setter/Operator – CNC Turner.

Role Accountabilities

Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures.

Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.

Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.

Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.

Working as a team to maximise machine utilisation.

Working to structured manufacturing plan.

Responsible for setting and operating a Mazak 1600 Turning Lathe.

Responsible for quality output.

Responsible for Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM).

Capable of using measuring equipment such as Micrometers, Vernier Callipers, Height Towers, Shadow Graphs, CMM etc.

Person Specification

5 years’ experience in the Aerospace/Automotive Industry in a similar role.

Apprentice trained – preferred or demonstrated relevant experience.

Working to production timelines in a manufacturing environment.

Working with SOPs and Company specific documentation.

Self-driven, results orientated, with a positive outlook.

Able to get on with others and be a team-player.

Attention to detail and accuracy at all times.

Working to deadlines.

Managing workload effectively, prioritising where necessary.
