We have a vacancy within our Manufacturing Department and are currently recruiting for the role of Ream and Clean Operative on the Early Shift. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.
Shift Pattern: 36.5 hours each week working the Early Shift; 06.00 – 14.30 Monday to Thursday, and 06.00 – 10.30 on Fridays. You will be entitled to two breaks Monday to Thursday, one 10-minute unpaid break and one 20-minute unpaid break.
Role Accountabilities:
- To finish laser cut blanks in accordance with relevant procedures
- Ability to read and understand data cards and drawings to the level required
- Complete Ream & clean operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels
- Use and day to day maintenance of pillar drills, grinding equipment, orbital sanders and general hand tools
Key Activities:
- Reaming, Countersinking, Chamfering, Deburring and Surface finishing
General Responsibilities:
- Comply with all company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.
- Read and understand the requirements on the Job Card for the operation to be carried out.
- Ensure that all the documentation required to carry out the operation in accordance with the Job Card is available at the point of use and at the correct revision.
- Read and understand all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation, this includes Engineering Drawings, Ream sheets, Data Cards, etc.
- Use of relevant measuring equipment as required to check conformance to requirements.
- Carry out in process inspection in accordance with relevant specifications to ensure that components are conforming prior to passing on to subsequent operations.
- Ensure that components identified as non-conforming during in process inspection are identified and communicated in accordance with the Non-Conformance Procedure.
- Complete all work booking requirements within the MRP system to ensure accurate WIP records.
- Follow work handling and storage instructions to prevent damage to components.
- Support Root Cause Analysis activities when non-conformance occurs to prevent reoccurrence.
- Ensure that work areas are tidy, cleaned and maintained in accordance with 5S requirements.
- Engage and contribute to Continuous Improvement activities to maximise efficiency.
- Comply with all company procedures and policies.
