Help shape the future of one of the housing sector's most ambitious Dynamics 365 transformation programmes. At Bromford Flagship LiveWest (BFL), we're bringing together three organisations onto a single digital platform while continuing to improve services for more than 220,000 customers. Technology is at the heart of that transformation, and we're looking for an experienced Functional Consultant with strong D365 Finance expertise to help us deliver it.
This is an opportunity to join a large, in-house Dynamics 365 delivery team of 11 Functional Consultants, 18 Developers and 15 QA Analysts and Engineers, responsible for a highly customised enterprise platform supporting Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain Management, Project Operations and our bespoke housing management systems. We're specifically looking for a D365 Finance specialist who understands the accounting principles behind the technology and can bridge the gap between finance professionals, technology teams and wider business stakeholders. As we prepare to bring Flagship and LiveWest operations onto the Bromford D365 solution, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering financial solutions that support the organisation's future.
Working alongside Product Owners, Developers, QA Analysts and business stakeholders, you'll help turn complex requirements into practical, sustainable solutions that maximise the value of the D365 platform.
What you'll be doing
- Work within a large in-house D365 delivery programme delivering functionality across Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain Management and Project Operations
- Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into functional solutions
- Lead the functional design and configuration of D365 Finance enhancements and new functionality
- Deliver large work packages and epics through agile sprint-based delivery
- Participate in refinement sessions, estimation and delivery planning activities
- Work closely with Developers and QA teams throughout the development lifecycle
- Manage configuration changes through controlled release processes to ensure low-risk deployment into production
- Evaluate new D365 Finance capabilities and roadmap developments, recommending opportunities to improve our solution
- Support testing activities and ensure delivered functionality meets business requirements
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving platform issues where required
- Mentor and support Associate Functional Consultants, sharing knowledge and helping to develop capability across the team
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced D365 Finance specialist who understands both the technology and the accounting principles that sit behind it. You'll be confident working with finance professionals, speaking their language and understanding the impact of system changes on financial processes, controls and reporting. Just as importantly, you'll be able to translate complex finance terminology and concepts into clear, accessible language for colleagues outside of finance, ensuring stakeholders can make informed decisions and fully engage with proposed solutions.
You’ll bring
- Excellent product knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance
- Extensive experience implementing and configuring standard core D365 Finance functionality
- Experience gathering requirements and designing effective functional solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
- Experience working closely with Developers and QA teams in agile delivery environments
- The ability to balance business needs with long-term platform sustainability and best practice
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to influence stakeholders at different levels
Ideally, you’ll also have
- An accountancy qualification, accountancy background or significant experience working within finance functions.
- Experience of housing association finance processes, although this isn't essential
You’ll be joining a collaborative and ambitious digital team that is delivering one of the most significant transformation programmes in our sector. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how a large-scale D365 platform evolves, work alongside experienced specialists, and help shape solutions that improve services for colleagues and customers alike.
At BFL, we believe everyone should have a home that enables them to thrive. By helping us deliver technology that supports our customers and colleagues, you’ll play an important role in making that vision a reality.
What we offer
- Flexible and hybrid working; many roles support working across our main locations and home
- Performance related pay based on shared success
- A choice of pension schemes with employer contributions of up to 10%
- Employee Assistance Programme that provides 24/7 virtual GP access, prescription service, and talking therapies for you and your family
- Generous holiday, occupational sick pay and paid family leave
- Annual allowance of £500 to spend on benefits of your choosing, including healthcare plans, dental care, gym membership and much more
