This is a fixed term, full-time vacancy for an Electrician focused on quality electrical maintenance, repairs and installations with a stable work–life balance and long-term security.

What you’ll get

  • Salary: £38,270.09 per year with annual review
  • On-call rota: £864 per week
  • Holiday: 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays (option to buy/sell up to 5 days)

What you’ll be doing

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), repairs, and installations across domestic and commercial properties
  • Maintain and fault-find electrical and mechanical systems, including boiler controls, pumps, communal lighting, hot water systems, and HVAC units
  • Complete rewiring, testing, and inspections to ensure systems are safe and compliant
  • Diagnose issues quickly and deliver high-quality, efficient repairs
  • Manage materials, record work accurately, and work safely in line with regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure homes are safe and fit for purpose

Experience and qualifications

  • Experience with 18th Edition wiring regulations or equivalent time served
  • City & Guilds Electrical Test and Inspection Certificate
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification
  • AM2 qualification preferred but not essential
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices
  • Proficiency with IT systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Commitment to Bromford’s values and acting as a positive ambassador for the organisation
  • Proactive, flexible attitude to work and travel
  • Enhanced DBS check (arranged by BFL)
