We’re looking for an experienced quantity surveyor to join our team and take the lead in managing the commercial and surveying aspects of multiple housing developments. This is a vital role where you’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You’ll be responsible for cost management, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting, helping to drive value and efficiency across all stages of our developments.

As quantity surveyor, you’ll manage the financial performance of multiple schemes, preparing accurate cost estimates, overseeing tendering processes, negotiating with subcontractors, and ensuring robust cost control throughout. Your work will support effective decision-making across the business, and you’ll play a key role in shaping successful, sustainable developments. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues in pre‑construction, land, technical, and commercial teams, ensuring that cost planning aligns with the evolving needs of each project.

You will have:

  • A strong background in residential or commercial construction, ideally with experience in groundworks, roads, drainage, and externals
  • Proven ability in negotiation, procurement, cost planning, and contract administration
  • Excellent attention to financial detail and a proactive approach to risk and value management
  • Familiarity with industry‑standard estimating tools and the ability to produce high‑quality financial reports for a range of stakeholders
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management (or substantial relevant practical experience)
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Able to complete a basic DBS and consumer check

What we offer:

  • Flexible and hybrid working; many roles support working across our main locations and home.
  • Performance related pay based on shared success.
  • A choice of pension schemes with employer contributions of up to 10%.
  • Employee Assistance Programme that provides 24/7 virtual GP access, prescription service, and talking therapies for you and your family.
  • Generous holiday, occupational sick pay and paid family leave.
  • Annual allowance of ÂŁ500 to spend on benefits of your choosing, including healthcare plans, dental care, gym membership and more.
