Are you an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer looking for a role where your expertise helps keep homes and communities safe every day? Reporting to the Facilities Services Delivery Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining, servicing, fault-finding, and commissioning fire safety systems across our properties and network buildings. This is a field-based role, and you’ll be provided with a company van to travel across Coventry, Wolverhampton, and surrounding areas, supporting customers across our housing portfolio.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Servicing, maintaining, fault-finding, and commissioning fire alarm systems
- Carrying out PPMs, emergency lighting tests, and minor repairs
- Working on addressable and conventional fire alarm systems, including AOV and MOV systems
- Installing and commissioning new or replacement systems
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, compliantly, and within agreed timescales
- Recording work completed using company systems and maintaining certification records
- Providing excellent customer service and supporting continuous service improvement
- Following all Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments, and safeguarding responsibilities
Qualifications & Technical Knowledge
- Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems over several years
- Strong knowledge of BS5839 standards
- Experience working with AOV and MOV systems
- Experience maintaining and repairing emergency lighting systems
- Ability to work independently using initiative, while also contributing effectively within a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable, organised, and professional approach to work
- Confidence using tablets, smartphones, digital systems, and email
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Ability to complete an enhanced DBS check (Provided by BFL)
- Willingness to work safely and responsibly across all locations
- Commitment to wearing PPE and following all Health & Safety procedures
