As Strategic Development Manager, you will play a key role in delivering Bromford Flagship LiveWest’s growth ambitions across the Oxford‑Cambridge Growth Corridor, helping create high‑quality homes and thriving communities where people can truly flourish.
What you’ll be doing
- Take ownership of large, complex projects from initial opportunity through land acquisition and partnership agreements, into the planning process and onward to successful handover for delivery.
- Work closely with internal teams, consultants, landowners, local authorities and development partners to shape viable, sustainable schemes that align with our strategic objectives.
- Manage development appraisals, oversee project budgets, secure internal approvals and provide clear reporting on opportunities, risks and progress.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the development sector, helping BFL identify innovative ways to deliver new homes and communities through a range of partnership and delivery models.
What we’re looking for
- Significant experience within the development sector, particularly on large‑scale developments of 1,000+ homes.
- Experience using development appraisal tools and managing project viability.
- Strong knowledge of partnership‑led and alternative development delivery models.
- Experience leading multi‑disciplinary project teams, both internally and externally.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
- Established networks within the development and housebuilding sector.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Customer‑driven, ambitious and all‑in when it comes to creating places and communities with lasting positive impact.
