Are you an adaptable and enthusiastic multi‑trade operative looking for a role where your skills genuinely make a difference? We’re looking for passionate Multi Skilled Engineers who take pride in their craft, enjoy variety in their work, and want to be part of a team focused on improving homes and communities.

This is a field‑based role within our Empty Homes (Voids) team, where you’ll play a key part in bringing properties back into use and ensuring they meet the highest standards for our customers. We are currently expanding our Empty Homes team as part of a wider growth programme across Bromford Flagship LiveWest (BFL), creating exciting opportunities for engineers who want stability, development, and the chance to be part of a growing service.

About the role:

You’ll carry out a range of multi‑skilled repairs and refurbishment works within void properties, including carpentry, plumbing, and plastering tasks. Working across your local patch, you’ll help ensure homes are safe, high‑quality, and ready for new customers to move into. This is a mobile role, so you’ll be working independently across your designated area, supported by a strong, collaborative team.

What you’ll need:
  • Experience in carpentry, plumbing, and plastering
  • A strong commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship
  • A proactive, self‑motivated approach
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently across a field‑based patch
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexibility to travel across your local area

This is more than just a job — it’s a growth opportunity within an expanding Empty Homes team. We are investing in our services, growing our workforce, and developing new ways of working across the Midlands and South West. You’ll be joining a team where your contribution is valued, your development is supported, and your work directly improves communities.

Benefits:
  • Salary: £35,824.25 per year, with annual salary review
  • Electric company van (subject to availability), tools, uniform, mobile phone, and tablet
  • £500 annual personal benefits fund – choose from private medical insurance, dental cover, critical illness cover, or gym membership
  • 27 days annual leave + bank holidays, with option to buy or sell up to 5 days
  • Pension options with employer contributions up to 10%
  • Life assurance
  • Comprehensive wellbeing support for you and your family, including virtual GP access and mental health resources
  • Retail discounts across a wide range of brands
  • £30 monthly drinks allowance (pro rata for part‑time colleagues)
  • Enhanced family leave policies, including maternity, paternity, adoption, and carers’ leave

Due to the nature of this role, you will be working in customers’ homes across a designated local patch. Applicants should live within or close to their assigned area to minimise travel and support efficient service delivery.

Additional Requirements:
  • Basic DBS check required (arranged by us)
  • Proof of relevant qualifications required where applicable
  • Right to work in the UK required

Closing date: 24th July 2026.
