We are seeking a skilled Roofing Labourer to work as part of our Responsive team to help us deliver exceptional service and quality for customers moving into our homes.
Location: Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas.

In this role as a Roofing Labourer you will be helping us deliver an outstanding repairs service to our tenants by carrying out a variety of roofing labouring tasks and associated maintenance across Flagship properties. This includes:
- Pitched and flat roof repairs
- Tiling
- Timber repairs
- Guttering maintenance
- Clearing blockages
- Damp and mould cleaning
- Void clearances
- Flood repairs
You’ll also support other trades and report any asbestos concerns. Working efficiently and safely, you’ll use schedules of rates to assess job content and complete estimates, ensuring repairs are completed to a high standard, first time.
Minimum Essential Criteria
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- At least 1 year of experience working at height and performing roofing repairs.
- A solid understanding of roofing components, mortar mix ratios, and roof types (including flat roofs).
- Comfortable working at height, with relevant training (PASMA, TETRA, EASI Deck, IPAF certifications are desirable but not essential).
- Strong practical skills in repair and replacement, equipment selection, and cost estimation.
- Good customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, including awareness of safeguarding and emergency protocols.
- Competency in Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
- A full driving licence and willingness to participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota, including public holidays.
