Join Bromford Flagship LiveWest and help us work towards solving the housing crisis in the East of England by delivering safe, high‑quality homes and outstanding repairs services for our tenants. This role is a full time position, working Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm and Friday: 8:00am–2:30pm. Working in the areas of Thetford, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds and Attleborough.
As an Electrician within our Repairs & Voids team, you will carry out a wide range of electrical and electrical‑related repairs, maintenance, testing, and installations across our properties. You’ll support colleagues across multiple trades and ensure that all work is completed to an excellent standard — first time, every time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting, testing, installing, repairing, and modifying electrical systems and components
- Supporting repair works in occupied homes and conducting electrical improvements in void properties
- Completing void clearances, addressing damp and mould, and assisting with flood‑related repairs
- Identifying and arranging appropriate asbestos removal when required
- Using schedules of rates to assess work, provide estimates, and ensure cost‑effective delivery
- Working safely, efficiently, and flexibly — including occasional paid overtime to complete essential works
Our ideal candidate will have the following which are essential for this role:
- 18th Edition qualification
- Proven experience as an Electrician
- Strong practical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and problem‑solve effectively
- Customer service experience
- Competency in Microsoft Outlook and Teams
- Full UK driving licence
