Are you an experienced property professional with a strong trade background and a passion for delivering high-quality homes? We are looking for an Empty Homes Surveyor / Supervisor to join our team, playing a key role in ensuring our properties are safe, well-presented, and ready for new customers. This is a field-based role, so you will spend the majority of your time on site carrying out inspections, managing works, and supporting operational teams across your area. As travel is a key part of the role, a company vehicle will be provided to support you in carrying out your duties.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end process of preparing empty homes for re-let, from pre-vacation visits through to final inspection.
  • Carry out pre-vacation leaving well visits to scope works and agree responsibilities.
  • Plan and schedule works, including labour, materials, and sequencing.
  • Undertake property inspections, including mutual exchanges and post-work quality checks.
  • Support and coordinate multi-trade teams and subcontractors on site.
  • Ensure all works meet re-let standards and comply with Health & Safety and CDM regulations.
  • Manage costs, improve efficiency, and reduce post-void repairs.
  • Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth and positive experience.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar role within housing or property maintenance (essential).
  • A strong trade background, with knowledge across multiple trades (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, plastering).
  • Experience supervising operatives or contractors across a range of disciplines.
  • Experience surveying properties and using Schedule of Rates (SORs).
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety and CDM regulations.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.

Additional Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to pass a Basic DBS check.
