Work within the development team reporting to the Database Team Manager.

Role Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and manage high‑quality, efficient, and effective solutions using Microsoft SQL Server T‑SQL and related tools.
  • Manipulate customer data in production environments with stringent precautions.
  • Provide technical know‑how on projects and collaborate with third parties regarding the Bromcom database structure.
  • Maintain MS SQL Server database environments, including backups and recoveries in both test and production settings.
  • Write complex scripts for data manipulation to support customer data processing and reconciliation activities.
  • Develop and support REST APIs, including assistance in their development effort.
  • Generate ad hoc reports in response to internal and customer requests.
  • Analyse, review, and optimise SQL code, database objects, and overall database performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to live customer data in production environments.
  • Organise own time, schedule tasks, and deliver work within project timelines and requirements.

Skills and Experience

  • Substantial experience in SQL programming and strong knowledge of MS SQL Server 2017 and above.
  • Strong background in data modelling, data management, data manipulation, code management, and version control (GIT).
  • Basic knowledge of C# and ASP.NET programming.
  • Basic experience working with REST APIs.
  • 3+ years of SQL Developer experience, including administration and support of MS SQL Server database infrastructures in large‑scale environments.
  • Data flow analysis skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and documentation skills.
  • BPSS and Enhanced DBS checks required as minimum.
