A fantastic opportunity to join a leading company in the Education Technology sector, supporting the company to deliver changes of the highest quality. The role will involve the full suite of testing: system integration, user acceptance, and regression testing, and is ideally suited to an experienced QA analyst or somebody with extensive domain/functional experience who is interested in moving into a more hands-on and technical role.
Duties/areas of responsibility
- Own and take responsibility for testing a portfolio of assigned work items, covering the suite of Bromcom products (web and mobile apps).
- Independently create quality test plans, selecting the most appropriate testing techniques for the change.
- Assist in the analysis of test results and liaise with other team members about next steps.
- Update the work management system (Azure DevOps).

This role reports to the Escalations Team Manager.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to interpret business requirements and understand the use of the MIS or school Finance system in a school setting.
- Ability to design and create test plans of high quality, and with suitable coverage.
- Natural problem solver.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good team player.
- Can-do attitude: pro-active and wanting to input into and contribute to creating quality applications.
Desirable knowledge and skills
- Some SQL knowledge.
- Degree in a related field, e.g., computing.
Experience
- Experience working with an MIS or schools' finance product.
- Software testing experience - ideally in the edtech sector or in an agile environment.
- Ideally some experience or knowledge of different types of testing, including system integration, user acceptance, and regression testing.
