As Product Manager, you will work closely with the COO, CCO and CEO to mature Broken String Bio’s existing products and evolve the product roadmap to support the successful development and launch of new offerings. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Marketing and Commercial teams to ensure products are well-positioned, technically accurate and aligned to customer needs. This includes contributing market insight, technical expertise, and customer understanding to support go-to-market activities, while Marketing retains ownership of campaign execution and content creation. You will also monitor market trends and competitive dynamics, drawing on both external research and internal insights, to inform product strategy and future development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead product management activities, working closely with Product Development and Marketing to support existing on-market products and deliver new product introductions.
  • Conduct Voice of Customer (VoC) and market research to develop deep understanding of customer needs, market trends and competitive positioning; feed insights into product development and marketing strategies.
  • In partnership with the COO, CCO and CEO, evolve and maintain the product roadmap, balancing market opportunity with technical feasibility and available resources.
  • Project manage cross-functional initiatives to ensure the successful execution of product launches, including readiness of technical documentation, internal alignment and handover to Marketing and Commercial teams.
  • Partner with Marketing to define product positioning, messaging and value propositions, providing market insight, customer use cases and technical expertise to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to support the development of marketing and sales materials (e.g. datasheets, case studies, whitepapers, blog content), by contributing technical input, validating scientific accuracy and identifying compelling customer applications.
  • Support the development of sales enablement tools by providing guidance on product positioning, target customer segments, and objection handling; ensure materials are technically robust and aligned with product strategy.
  • Deliver product training and ongoing support to the Commercial team, equipping them with the knowledge and tools required to effectively communicate product value and differentiate from competitors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biological Sciences or a related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in product management within life science research tools or a related sector.
  • Domain expertise in cell biology and gene editing, next-generation DNA sequencing, and/or pharmaceutical product development processes.
  • Demonstrated contribution to successful product development and commercialisation activities.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Highly collaborative, with strong project management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
