We are currently seeking a driven Sales/Business Development Executive at our Head Office in Welwyn Garden City. As an international organisation experiencing a strong period of growth, we are looking for an ambitious Sales/Business Development Executive to join our team. A successful candidate will be responsible for securing new business across the scaffolding, mast climber and hoist divisions. Proven experience within the construction industry is essential, with access industry experience highly desirable.
Working under the direction of the Business Development Manager and Company Directors, the role is an all-encompassing one with specific focus on new business – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Identifying business development opportunities
- Building long term relationships with new and existing customers
- Maintaining/updating CRM database in line with current tenders and future work
- Liaising with clients and suppliers
- Completion of Pre Qualification Questionnaires as directed by Business Development
- Growing and managing existing business relationships
- Assisting with promoting the business via social media platforms
- Following up any enquiries
- Actively demonstrating leadership throughout the sales cycle and during the “closing process”
Skills required:
- Pro-active and self-motivated
- Proven track record of business growth in a previous role
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritise workload within a busy environment
- Construction industry experience desirable
