  • Position type: Full time 40hrs per week (Mon - Thurs 7.30am - 4.30pm & Fri 7.30am - 1.30pm) - nightshift working may be required (Sun – Thurs 4 x 10hrs shifts)

We operate from our depots in Kilmarnock, Scotland and provide a mobile service to the rail industry over the length and breadth of the UK and Ireland.

Job Summary:

We are seeking skilled Paint Preppers to join our team. The Paint Prepper will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying masking materials.

Duties:

  • Clean and prepare surfaces for painting by removing dirt, grease, and old paint
  • Sand surfaces to smooth out imperfections
  • Apply masking tape and protective covers to areas not being painted
  • Assist with paint application when necessary

Skills:

  • Proficiency in using hand tools for sanding and cleaning
  • Ability to lift heavy objects when required
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance
  • Familiarity with power tools for surface preparation
