Role Description
Brodie Cashmere is seeking an experienced and creative Senior Knitwear Designer to join our team. This on‑site, full‑time position is based in Yeadon, Leeds. The Senior Knitwear Designer will be responsible for:
- Designing innovative and high‑quality knitwear collections, developing detailed mood boards, researching seasonal trends, and ensuring seamless execution from concept to final product.
- Managing factory communications (critical path management, purchase order submission, final artwork and techpacks).
- Day‑to‑day management of the design team (including allocation of workload, coordination of design meetings and sample review).
- Liaising with sales and marketing departments.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in creating Mood Boards and conducting thorough Trend Research to drive innovative yet market‑relevant designs.
- Proficiency in Fitting and Knitting techniques to achieve high‑quality finished products.
- Exceptional Sketching abilities to visually communicate new designs and concepts.
- Proven experience in knitwear design with a focus on luxury materials and sustainability.
- Dedicated to ethical fashion.
- Creative mindset with a strong passion for ethical and sustainable fashion practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
- Formal qualifications in Fashion Design or a related field are preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with cashmere production is a plus.
