Job Description:
Brocket Hall is reimagining its iconic riverside restaurant—formerly Auberge du Lac—into a vibrant new dining destination set within the historic 18th-century hunting lodge, beside the tranquil River Lea. Overlooking the breathtaking grounds of the Brocket Hall estate, the new restaurant will pair contemporary design, mood-lit interiors, and a stylish modern bar with a fresh culinary direction.
We’re creating an atmosphere that is relaxed yet refined—modern yet respectful of its heritage—offering a sophisticated and energetic guest experience in a truly majestic setting. This is a rare opportunity to be part of an exciting launch that blends timeless character with a bold, new perspective on hospitality.
We are looking for professional, enthusiastic and guest-focused Front of House team members to deliver exceptional service across restaurant dining, private events, and estate functions. Whether you’re greeting guests, serving tables, or assisting with setup and breakdown, you’ll play a key role in creating a warm and memorable experience.
Job tasks:
· Providing warm, professional service in line with the restaurant’s relaxed yet refined atmosphere.
· Accurately taking and delivering food and beverage orders, with clear communication between floor, kitchen, and bar teams.
· Maintaining clean and well-presented dining areas, including table setups, service stations, and guest spaces.
· Supporting the setup and breakdown of restaurant service, private dining areas, and event spaces.
· Maintaining working knowledge of the menu, including key ingredients, allergens, and daily specials.
· Assisting with service across a variety of estate functions, including weddings, private events, and corporate bookings.
· Ensuring compliance with hygiene, health and safety, and service standards at all times.
Requirements
· Previous experience in a quality restaurant, hotel, or event setting is essential.
· Strong communication skills and a natural ability to engage with guests in a warm, confident manner.
· A positive, team-oriented attitude with a professional approach to service.
· Good personal presentation and attention to detail, with pride in delivering consistent standards.
· Ability to work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining composure and courtesy.
· Willingness to learn, adapt, and support colleagues across a variety of service areas.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and special events as required
· Be part of an innovating new restaurant in a stunning riverside location on one of the UK’s most iconic estates.
· Join a welcoming, professional team with strong values and a passion for excellence.
· Staff benefits include service tips, estate-wide discounts, and access to leisure facilities.
· Opportunities for training, development, and progression within a dynamic hospitality operation.
