Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and quality standards.
- Assist in the creation and development of new menu items, ensuring creativity and seasonal considerations.
- Work collaboratively with all kitchen staff to maintain flow during busy service periods.
- Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and safety are adhered to in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor kitchen inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and maintain organization within kitchen storage areas.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Assist with the plating and presentation of dishes to ensure a visually appealing and high-quality final product.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Flexibility to work across different areas of the kitchen and assist with various tasks as required.
- Previous experience as a chef in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Relevant culinary qualifications or training is an advantage.
