Brocket Hall is reimagining its iconic riverside restaurant—formerly Auberge du Lac—into a vibrant new dining destination set within the historic 18th-century hunting lodge, beside the tranquil River Lea. Overlooking the breathtaking grounds of the Brocket Hall estate, the new restaurant will pair contemporary design, mood-lit interiors, and a stylish modern bar with a fresh culinary direction. We're creating an atmosphere that is relaxed yet refined—modern yet respectful of its heritage—offering a sophisticated and energetic guest experience in a truly majestic setting. We are looking for professional, enthusiastic and guest-focused Front of House team members to deliver exceptional service across restaurant dining, private events, and estate functions. Whether you're greeting guests, serving tables, or assisting with setup and breakdown, you'll play a key role in creating a warm and memorable experience.

  • Providing warm, professional service in line with the restaurant's relaxed yet refined atmosphere
  • Accurately taking and delivering food and beverage orders, with clear communication between floor, kitchen, and bar teams
  • Maintaining clean and well-presented dining areas, including table setups, service stations, and guest spaces
  • Supporting the setup and breakdown of restaurant service, private dining areas, and event spaces
  • Maintaining working knowledge of the menu, including key ingredients, allergens, and daily specials
  • Assisting with service across a variety of estate functions, including weddings, private events, and corporate bookings
  • Ensuring compliance with hygiene, health and safety, and service standards at all times

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a quality restaurant, hotel, or event setting is essential
  • Strong communication skills and a natural ability to engage with guests in a warm, confident manner
