Brocket Hall is looking for a skilled and commercially astute leader to manage the performance and daily operations of its golf leisure and racquets facilities, which includes Golf Operations, Academy, Putting Studio, Gym, and Paddle.
Commercial & Financial Responsibility
- Full accountability for the revenue and margin performance of the department.
- Ensure optimal utilisation across tee sheets, coaching schedules, retail and leisure facilities, safeguarding both yield and member satisfaction.
- Through company KPI's continually measure the trading performance of the department and respond decisively and proportionately where improvement is required.
- Exercise disciplined control over staff cost, stock and operating expenditure to preserve margin and profitability.
Operational Excellence
- Provide assured leadership across all golf and leisure operations, maintaining consistency, presentation and operational standards at all times achieving the company benchmarks set within the 59club mystery shopping matrix and the company brand standards audits.
- Ensure all systems are used in accordance with company policy including accuracy of data entry.
- Maintain an active and visible presence within the estate, particularly during peak periods and member events.
- Uphold and develop operating procedures and standards with authority and attention to detail.
- Ensure that the customer and member journey are maintained to the highest standards using the company benchmarks and approved work flows.
Leadership & Culture
- Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary operations team with clarity of expectation and accountability.
- Oversee rota planning and structure to balance service excellence with operational efficiency.
- Establish a proactive approach to recruitment and staff development.
- Provide support and mentorship for all team members through regular 1-2-1's, performance management, career development and full implementation and ownership of the department skills matrix.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, ownership rewarding commitment, forward thinking and commercial awareness.
Requirements
- A proven leader within a premium venue managing an annual turnover of £5 million or above per year.
- Experience and proven track record in achieving operational performance and revenue accountability.
- Commercially astute, comfortable in a fast-paced environment with quick and confident decision-making.
- A visible and composed presence within the operation.
