The Early Childhood and Health Studies Curriculum area is seeking a motivated member to join them as an Industry Placement Assessor to support with industry placement visits to Early Childhood and Health Studies students, on a full-time hours, Term time only, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive rate of £24,617 - £33,367 depending on experience.
About the role: The Industry Placement Assessor Early Childhood and Health role involves student visits to industry placements, which span geographical areas such as Hythe and Waterside, Lymington, Poole, Brockenhurst and Ringwood. Industry placements are mandatory and contribute to the overall qualification. You will work closely with the current industry placement officer with regards to allocations of visits who will advise of locations and days, and it will be up to you to plan your visits accordingly in the timeframes provided, write reports and liaise with organisations to build positive employer relationships. Industry experience in the HSC or Early Years sector is an advantage, along with a full UK driving licence, assessor award or teaching qualification, however support and training may be provided.
Responsibilities as our Industry Placement Assessor Early Childhood and Health will include:
- Provide constructive and developmental feedback to learners during visits
- Support and advise employers during visits if necessary and appropriate
- Be able to plan and prioritise workload of visits
- Make accurate judgements using sector criteria and T Level performance outcomes for the qualifications
- Ensure that learner progression is recorded and monitored in a timely way
- Report achievements and areas for development to the Subject Leaders and Industry Placement Officer
- Work with the team to meet targets for learner retention and achievement
- Be involved in the development of learning resources, related to the occupational area
As our Industry Placement Assessor Early Childhood and Health, you'll ideally have:
- Appropriate subject qualification
- Assessing Awards or willing to work towards achieving these awards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of assessing learners
- Experience of supporting and motivating young people
- The ability to work as a member of a team and on own initiative
