Investment Manager – Zurich (German Speaker)
We are seeking a dynamic Investment Manager to join a fast-growing private investment firm based in Zurich. The firm partners with entrepreneurs and management teams, particularly in service-based businesses, with a focus on the DACH region and select European markets. The successful candidate will play a central role in deal sourcing, execution, and portfolio growth, especially within buy-&-build strategies.
What You Will Do
- Lead evaluation and execution of investment opportunities in DACH and other European markets (e.g., Benelux, Spain, UK, Poland).
- Conduct full due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation for profitable SMEs with revenues between EUR million (positive cash‐flow).
- Work closely with management teams and \”industry partners\” (senior operators / entrepreneurs) to drive strategic growth, operational improvements, and acquisitions.
- Assist in defining and executing buyout and succession solutions (including majority share or full exits, possibly reinvestment by founder or management).
- Help structure deals that allow entrepreneurial owners or management to remain engaged, contribute expertise, and participate in upside.
- Prepare investment committee materials, lead market/competitive analysis, and present recommendations to senior leadership.
What We\’re Looking For
- 4-7+ years experience in private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting, or a combination thereof, ideally with exposure to buy-&-build and SME / service company investments.
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken); additional languages a plus.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and quantitative analytical skills.
- Solid deal execution track record across sourcing, diligence, structuring and closing.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with structuring, negotiating and stakeholder-management skills; ability to operate with speed, transparency and empathy.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Zurich; flexibility for travel across DACH/EU.
