The Opportunity

The firm is seeking an Investment Associate to join its Zurich-based investment team, with a dual focus on Private Credit and Private Equity investments across the DACH region and broader Europe. The role offers hands-on exposure across the full investment lifecycle, including origination, execution, and portfolio management, working closely with senior investment professionals. This position is well suited to a highly motivated individual looking to develop as a well-rounded investor within a high-quality, entrepreneurial investment platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investment Analysis & Execution
    • Support the evaluation, structuring, and execution of private credit and private equity transactions
    • Build and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO, credit, and cash flow models
    • Conduct commercial, financial, and operational due diligence
    • Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal investment committees
  • Origination & Market Coverage
    • Assist in sourcing investment opportunities through relationships with sponsors, intermediaries, and corporates
    • Screen inbound opportunities and perform initial investment assessments
    • Track market developments, sector trends, and valuation benchmarks, with particular focus on the DACH region
  • Portfolio Management
    • Support ongoing monitoring of portfolio companies and credit investments
    • Analyse financial performance, covenant compliance, and key risk indicators
    • Assist with add-on acquisitions, refinancings, amendments, restructurings, and exit processes
  • Stakeholder Interaction
    • Coordinate with external advisors, including legal, financial, tax, and commercial due diligence providers
    • Interact with management teams, sponsors, and financing partners during transaction execution and portfolio oversight
    • Work closely with senior investment professionals across both credit and equity strategies

Candidate Profile

  • Experience
    • 5-7 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit, leveraged finance, or transaction services
    • Prior exposure to private markets transactions is strongly preferred
    • Experience with sponsor-backed and/or privately owned businesses is an advantage
  • Technical Skills
    • Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities
    • Solid understanding of capital structures, credit fundamentals, and equity value drivers
    • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Personal Attributes
    • Strong commercial judgement and intellectual curiosity
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment
    • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to take ownership of workstreams
    • Professional maturity and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Education & Languages
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
    • CFA or progress toward CFA is a plus
    • Native-level German is required
    • Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are an advantage
